Thank you to everyone who booked their dental checkups and shared our Back-To-School contest on Facebook. We had such a positive response spreading the word on the importance of maintaining your oral health that Dr. Abougoush, Dr. McIntyre and everyone at Summerland Dental is delighted to announce this will become an annual contest! Summerland Dental believes that knowledge is power. Waging the war on plaque is much easier when dental visits are enjoyable and educational.
The lovely Rogall’s have been dedicated Summerland Dental clients since 2008. By sharing our contest on Facebook and booking the family in for their regular hygiene appointments during the busy back-to-school rush; they became the proud winners of our contest prize, the ASUS 14” laptop. The family plans on sharing their new laptop and was thrilled to discover they were picked as winners while they were out of town for a hockey tournament.
“It was a really nice surprise!” Dad Donovan stated. “Dr. Abougoush and the entire crew at Summerland Dental have taken really great care of us from the beginning. Summerland Dental provides exceptionally personalized service. It’s easy to stay on top of our oral hygiene appointments when everyone enjoys going to the dentist!”
Summerland Dental created this back-to-school contest to spread the word that oral health is often overlooked while families are busy preparing to head back to class. This is unfortunate as statistics show that tooth decay is one of the most preventable childhood diseases. Did you know that untreated dental issues result in millions of missed hours of school and work every year? While school supplies are necessary, nothing is more important that your overall health. Summerland Dental is committed to raising oral health awareness. We are a family friendly clinic who believes that everyone should be entitled to a healthy and radiant smile! http://www.colgate.com/en/us/oc/oral-health/basics/dental-visits/article/ada-08-back-to-school-means-its-time-for-a-dental-checkup
With second molars erupting between grades 2 through grade 6, there are tons of changes happening in your child’s mouth. Frequent Tooth Fairy visits occur as new adult teeth are arriving. Older students may experience erupting wisdom teeth that can cause changes to their smile and severe pain at times. Regular exams every six months enable us to monitor your family’s oral progress. Preventative measures such as placing dental sealants on teeth with deep grooves can help prevent future decay. Early orthodontic assessments can help facilitate a smoother and straighter transition as adult teeth become situated. We encourage you to follow the Rogall Family’s example and make dental checkups part of your healthy back-to-school routine!
